decisions, decisions
Last month TH gave me a Kindle for my birthday (and I really like it, too!). I've read the instructions, registered it, and now--I'm ready to download! What shall my first book be? Work-related? Lust in the Dust? (How truly unfortunate that my discipline--and here, I should clarify that my theoretical orientation--does not really offer some combination of the above). Any suggestions?

Are there fun work-related reads? What about a new book you've been wanting to teach that's both relevant and 'fun'?
I hear Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is super good.
First book should be fun. I've heard the same about Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I copped out and saw the movie (b/c I'm doing a paper on movies and it may be relevant). I liked it well enough, without giving anything away.
My guilty pleasure is chic lit though. Emily Giffin.
My other reads are more in my field/sub field. Not sure you'd find them interesting.
I've heard good things about A Visit from the Goon Squad. I a currently enjoying Surviving Your Stupid Stupid Decision to go to Grad School.
A good country romance would be my pick! hahahaha Sharon Sala - Diamond!
