Wow, I did not expect to see him performing at the closing ceremonies. Sounds pretty good after after all these years. 
Not exactly quiet here on the western front, so I think I will simply offer a couple random photos of Spring and thank everyone who brought good wine and food and conversation on Friday night (and cleaned up my kitchen before they left!). Congrats are (over) due to a few grad students--current, former and new--KJD for finishing up, KCD for passing her comps with flying colors, C and M for advancing to candidacy, and H for coming over to the people-side. Who here is surprised by that?
