Haiti

What to say--we all live such privileged lives and yet find so much to complain about on an everyday basis. It all seems so small and petty when one sees the loss of life and suffering in Haiti. I hope everyone takes the 3 seconds out of their day that it takes to donate some relief $ to one of the countless agencies and NGOs providing services to Haiti. While the social scientists of the world analyze the changing definitions (gains or losses, etc.) of sociability in the era of internet and digital media dominance, I am ever hopeful that the ease with which we can all donate just a fraction of what we spend frivolously on coffee drinks every week, may add up to something significant for the people of Haiti.
